Literacy Coordinator & First Aid Officer, Teacher.Miss Judith is a Chelsea Pre-Prep veteran with over 20 years in nursery teaching bringing a wealth of experience and strong focus on independence and creativity to her class. Judith is an expert in preparing her students for assessments and getting ready for 'big school', her class is like a mini reception year which means that her students, and their parents, are more than ready for the transition when it comes.
Teacher. Our NYC gal turned London lady, Miss Elyse started in the world of early years as a children’s yoga instructor. With an MA in Early Years Education, Miss Elyse blends a fountain of knowledge with what she finds most important - mindfulness, a vital tool for children growing up in London. It’s not unusual to find her classes in a yoga pose or two or even engaging in a spot of meditation throughout the day. A unique approach with a consciously creative flair, Elyse makes sure learning is less humdrum and more ‘Ommm’. Namaste.
Teacher. An experienced teacher from Italy she was actually head-hunted whilst working in London by one of our existent teachers, that's how good she is! With a passion for the Outdoors she spent this summer paying a visit to Reggio Emilia in Italy and is currently studying to further her knowledge of Early Years teaching and learning.
Teacher.Miss Maria is another veteran of Chelsea Pre-Prep with more than a decade experience working with the first year classes. A mother herself, Maria, can offer a sympathetic shoulder to children and great advice to parents during tricky times like the settling in process as well as having personal experience of all the milestones of your child's development.
Teacher. An initial career interest in midwifery and young children led Miss Carina to join Chelsea Pre-Prep. Fast forward almost 10 years and Carina is a mother herself and one of the longest standing members of our teaching team. With such a strong background in early years and being ‘on the ground’ as a parent, she more than understands how important it is that the first experiences of education are nurturing and supportive but also great fun, and relishes developing her classes into independent little adults.
Teacher.Chelsea Pre-Prep's Mary Poppins with a twist, Miss Adriana, is an experienced, charismatic and engaging teacher. Dedicated to nurturing her students' confidence and independent characters, Adriana's natural expressiveness guarantees there are no sleepy heads or wandering eyes during story or singing time.
Teacher. With a degree in primary education, Miss Amaia’s move from Spain to London propelled her into early years, a move that perfectly blends her gentle nature and creative instinct. With a focus on child-led activities, Amaia, encourages the children to think independently which in turn emboldens them to explore their characters, personal interests and relationships both inside and outside the classroom.
Teacher.Initially a Spanish teacher in primary schools in London, Miss Rocio, lends her energy and dynamism to our youngest classes at CPP. An epicentre of fun, Rocio, dissolves the barrier between teacher and student, adult and child and immerses herself fully in the children’s learning experience. This awareness and ability to see through a child’s eyes to identify their needs means that one day you might find them rocking out to metal and the next, jumping out of their way as they run past you pretending to be magical beasts.
Health & Safety Coordinator, Teacher. It wasn’t the cooler climes of the UK that made Miss Romaine jump ship from Australia to London but her love of teaching in early years. A naturally enthusiastic soul, Romaine engages the children in thoughtful yet creative ways, key strengths when you are dealing with the rising threes! Hard not to love - or to hear - Romaine is as colourful a personality as her class.
Teaching Assistant. After a recent career change, Miss Mel joined the early years world and we cannot imagine Rocket Pre-Preps without her! A natural with the children, Mel assists across the classes and is adored by all. Mel always has a smile on her face and injects energy, positivity and kindness into every classroom. Being a mother of a three year old herself, she is more than familiar with what they bring to the party... Miss Mel is currently studying to become a qualified teacher by 2020.
